In the next Windows 10 update of May 2019 Update, Microsoft will embed a feature that is named Windows Sandbox.



The function of this Windows Sandbox feature is to create an isolated temporary desktop. It allows users to run potentially malicious software or contain malware/viruses.

Officially, the Windows Sandbox feature itself is only available in Windows 10 Professional and Enterprise editions. And it needs certain specifications such as AMD64 architecture, virtualization in BIOS (AMD-V or VT-X), and 4GB of RAM.


But with the same bit of tricks to enable the Group Policy Editor feature, you can bring this feature to the Home edition.

Previously make sure you have created a system Restore in case. Although this script actually runs smoothly.


Running Windows Sandbox in Windows 10 Home

First download the zip file here, which contains a batch of command files that simply click 2x to execute it. Make sure you run it with as Administrator and restart once the process is complete.
