Preview Update KB4586853 Available For Windows 10 2004/20H2 Users Via WSUS

A Preview Update KB4586853 is reportedly available to users of Windows 10 2004 and Windows 10 20H2, this update will bring build OS to 19042661 for Windows 10 20H2 and 19041.661 for Windows 10 2004. Additionally based on information from several outside forums such as Desk Modder and Ten Forum, one of the good news of this update is, this update also brings a number of fixes in Windows 10, one of which is the In-Place Upgrade repair on Windows 10 20H2, a fix on Windows Properties that sometimes darken, and some other fixes.

Unfortunately, this update has not been officially released via Windows Update, so there is no information about the release note and changelog is officially informed, in addition, users must also download and update manually through the available Cabinet files, the installation steps themselves as usual, you just need to download the files that we provide below, then follow the tutorial steps How to Install Update MSU and CAB in Windows 10 that Poinwin wrote earlier.

Here's the Download Link for this Update, please adjust it to the version of Windows 10 architecture that you use.

windows10.0-kb4586853-x64.cab (327 MB)

windows10.0-kb4586853-x86.cab (123 MB)

Once the installation is complete, you'll see the build OS change to 19042610 for Windows 10 20H2 or 19041610 for Windows 10 2004.

For changes that I feel myself in this update also include several things, including the task manager layout that initially (before installing this update) large (more details) is enabled, after updating the size of the Task Manager will be set back to Fewer Details or small.

In addition, some users reportedly get the Web Browser option on the Settings page header, but it seems that the option is only available to selected users.

Known Issues

Based on some other user reports as reported from Desk Modder, in some cases, they were unable to install update KB4586853 and encountered an error message with the 0x800700d.

Because this update is similar to before, where it is not available in Insider either Beta or Release Preview, it's a good idea to wait until Microsoft officially releases this update through the Windows Update page, considering that this step could cause other problems in Windows 10 that you use.

But of course, if you want to try and force updates, you can download and install the cabinet files available.

Well, have you updated? Are you having trouble? what new things do you feel after the update? please give your opinion in the comment column below.

*If update KB4586853 is available via Windows Update, as usual information about it will be written in the latest article. Thank.
